Kiwanis International is a "family" of organizations that teach good citizenship, community service, and leadership skills.
The Kiwanis Club of WPB sponsors Kiwanis Kids Clubs at Meadow Park Elementary School and Timber Trace Elementary School, Builder's Clubs at St. Juliana Catholic School and Bak Middle School of the Arts; Key Clubs at Forest Hill Community High School and Dreyfoos School of the Arts; and a Circle K International (CKI) Club at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Key Club is the world's oldest and largest service leadership development organization for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others. Members around the world are learning how to lead and stand for what’s right through service and volunteerism. As members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. There are approximately 270,000 members in 5,000 clubs and is represented in 37 countries. K-Kids is the program at elementary schools. In K-Kids clubs worldwide, children are learning leadership through service. They’re taking on the responsibility of running a K-Kids club as they plan and participate in community service projects. They assist the elderly with chores or organize community food drives. They serve their schools, raising funds for sports equipment and extracurricular activities.
Builders Club is the program and its resources are designed specifically to help middle school students get the most of of the club experience. There are more than 1,124 Builders Clubs in middle schools around the world. No two are alike. Each club is an independent entity-designed for its members, by its members. They work together to improve their schools and their communities. Their service also increases the visibility and enhances the reputation of both the club and the school or organization they represent. The program is designed to fit member and volunteer interests.
Aktion Club is the only service club for adults with disabilities, with more than 10,000 members worldwide. Club members become competent, capable, caring leaders through the vehicle of service. Aktion Club empowers members to be themselves, work together with friends and implement plans through action. As an extension of Kiwanis International, Aktion Club shares the mission serving children around the world. Through Aktion Club, members become leaders in their community.
Circle K International (CKI) is the premier collegiate and university community service, leadership development, and friendship organization in the world. With more than 14,000 members in 17 nations, CKI is making a positive impact on the world every day. CKI clubs are organized and sponsored by a Kiwanis club on a college or university campus. CKI is a self-governing organization and elects its own officers, conducts its own meetings, and determines its own service activities. Visit: Florida District of Circle K
Our Service Leadership Programs independently initiate service projects and community service activities throughout the school year. Our Kiwanis club works through a Faculty Adviser in each school and a Kiwanis Advisor from our club to coordinate our participation with their activities and to have them work with us on major service and fundraising projects.
